Combine Upload Mask with Smart Face Placement

Could you allow an Upload Mask to be applied to the outer boundary of an image placeholder while still using Smart Face Placement / Set Initial Size & Position for the image inside?Currently, it seems possible to use either an Upload Mask or Smart Face Placement / Set Initial Size & Position, but not both.
