Introduce Mask as an Independent Customily Component
Background
Currently, Customily's masking functionality is primarily tied to the Upload Photo component, limiting its flexibility and usability across other design elements.
We would like to propose introducing Mask as an independent, configurable component within the Customily editor.
Requested Features
Standalone Mask Component: Allow users to add, edit, and manage masks independently within the Customily editor.
Support Multiple Element Types: Enable masks to be applied to Image, Upload Photo, and other design elements.
Dynamic Mask Switching: Automatically change mask shapes based on the selected Subcategory or Option.
Multiple Masks per Template: Allow multiple independent masks within a single template, each controlling different design elements.
Production File Support: Apply masks to both customer previews and production files, enabling shape-specific output.
Transparent Background Support: Allow areas outside the mask to remain transparent rather than requiring a solid background color.
Business Benefits
Greater Flexibility: Masks would no longer be restricted to specific components.
Simplified Configuration: Reusable masks would reduce the need to create separate designs for different shapes.
Improved Production Efficiency: Automatically generate shape-specific print content and reduce manual cropping.
Better Scalability: Establish a reusable masking system for future personalization and image-processing features.
Priority
High Priority
We recommend implementing Mask as a standalone, reusable component rather than limiting it to individual Image or Upload Photo components.
This would provide greater flexibility and significantly improve Customily's capabilities for complex personalization and production workflows.
