Improved Stroke Behavior for Curved Text - 📅 Starting Monday, May 13
We're making an important update to how strokes (outlines) behave on curved text. Until now, applying a stroke visually increased the spacing between characters, which led to several issues:
🤕 Current Issues:
-
Stroke made curved text look more spaced out than expected.
-
Discrepancy between print file and preview due to differences in how stroke was rendered.
-
Users often had to apply negative tracking to visually correct the spacing.
🧪 What’s Changing:
-
Stroke on curved text will no longer visually increase character spacing.
-
Print file and preview will no longer present differences in character spacing.
-
No need to use negative tracking as a workaround.
-
⚠️ Important: We’re removing the negative tracking previously used for compensation. This may affect how some texts appear.
📅 Schedule: We will release this change on Monday, May 13th.
